Animals

Below are some pictures from our visit with some animals.  Mrs. Ski's mom came in and shared two types of birds, a turtle, and a snake with us.  She talked about their life cycle.  The kids then took turns touching the turtle and snake.  Sorry some of these pics are sideways.  I rotated them but for some reason they are not showing that way once I uploaded them.  Also, the first group that went to touch the animals didn't have a picture taken. : (  So they are missing from the pictures below. 

 

Volunteer?

I'm looking for a parent who is able to take down my bulletin boards in front of the classroom. Any takers? I would like their Gallon Creature projects they created to go on the boards. If you are available, send me an email to let me know. Thanks so much for your help!

Shaving Cream Spelling

Today we used shaving cream to practice writing our spelling words. The kids had a great time!

Hello 2012!!!

Happy New Year!!! I can't believe we are in the year 2012! I hope everyone has been enjoying their break! A few reminders before you return:

1. School resumes on Thursday, January 5th.

2. Packets given over break are due when you get back on Thursday.

3. Your book report is due on Friday, January 6th. Make sure you have cut it out and put it all together to present on Friday. If you are done by Thursday you may turn it in at that time.

This is a reminder that THIS Friday, December 9th PTO is hosting it's second FREE Pancake Breakfast with Santa! I really hope you can make it! It will be a pancake breakfast for dinner from 5-7pm. Pictures with Santa will be from 5:30-6:15pm and from 6:45-7:30pm. PTO will be selling these pictures with a frame for $10.00. They will also have FREE crafts. Remember that the pancakes and crafts are while supplies last so come early!
